Iowa December 2008

My dad, the kids and I decided to make a trip back to see family since I was off work and the flights looked OK. Little did we know Seattle would have all of it's bad weather trouble (SNOW!). It was cold in the mid-west but no precipitation to speak of. We had a nice time visiting both my Grandma's and they loved seeing the kids (and my dad and I too). Iowa sure is a long ways away, wish we could see them more often then every couple years, especially when they are getting into their 80s. We have lots of great pics though and memories to cherish. And Owen and Madeline were such good travelers!

Xmas 2008

A pretty mellow one for us but I was just glad to be home after a trip back to Iowa to see family. And the weather here was crazy while we were gone (worse than the midwest!) so flights were delayed etc. but we made it on all the flights we hoped for, just a day later! Madeline got to enjoy some snow upon our return, there really wasn't any in Iowa and it was too cold to go outside anyways. She also got some makeup for Xmas and had to do my face too. She left her pacifiers along with cookies and milk for santa. We were so proud!
