SUPRISE SHOWER!

My co-workers threw a suprise shower for me today at lunch! I was told there was a "meeting" so I arrived right on time and before many of them. I also walked so I needed help loading the loot into cars and then transferring. We had pizza, pop and cake, yum! And it looks like there was lots of fun to be had at the Outlet Malls in North Bend, Owen was spoiled with cute outfits, me a pedicure and more. Thanks everyone, that was very special!

9 months and I'm feeling it...

OK, I'll post another pic of me soon but here it Owen's room ready and waiting. I have hit a bit of a wall, running out of energy and some mobility which is tough for a busy gal like me. I still have little annoying things I want to get done but it's taking longer each day...well I'm going to listen to my body right now and lay down while Madeline is too. Until next time....

House and Shower

My friend Jenni (with some help!) hosted a shower for me on Sunday. It was great! I didn't take a ton of pics but should be getting more soon to share. We got some really cute things and of course had ice cream sundaes. It was nice to have my good friends around me, reminding me there is not much time left until I will be a new mom again! The yard is looking great again this year and the Lilly's are so fragrant. We got some rain this week so that will save on the watering.

Talking to baby brother and at the beach

Madeline is getting excited for her brother, the time will finally be here soon..and there might be some jealousy involved too. We went last weekend to the Olympic Penninsula near Port Ludlow to stay the night with Shauna's parents. The ferry lines were long but the weather nice and it was a nice getaway seeing some of our beautiful state.

Thomas Ride in Snoqualmie

Although we don't care who Thomas is we enjoyed the train ride with our friends. It went right past Snoqualmie Falls and was scenic, short and did I mention on the edge of a cliff!

Owen is a growing!

I had a 34 week ultrasound yesterday just to check up on our little guy. He is looking perfect, 50% percentile on everything (I'm sure that won't last) and is head down ready to come out a little early for mom!? At least 3 more weeks though Owen and then it's just a matter of waiting.

Shawn and kids visit

Our first guests in the playhouse were Shawn, West and Kiki

. Yes it has turned out to be such a nice place we will use it as a guest house too! The kids were here for a week and went boating with Madeline, to Remlinger Farms and more.

Summer Days

Madeline has mastered the bike with training wheels which makes us nervous still but is fun to watch. Such a ham!

Dessert Aire, WA

July Update

We went to Dessert Aire in Eastern Washington for the 4th of July this year and after short 2 1/2 hour drive we were in the Dessert and out of the clouds! It was a fun, relaxing time golfing, swimming, eating, drinking and thanks to Sue and Darrell an air conditioned place to sleep! We had not been there in 7ish years so it was fun to go back. We even took all the kids to the fireworks show and Madeline liked the "boom boom" and wasn't scared at all, but by 10 they were all ready for bed. Madeline seemed to really start to warm up to Leila (Jenni's baby) so that is a good sign for us! Time is ticking and we are getting anxious and excited for Owen to arrive. It feels like there is always 10 more things you want to get done, even after doing those 10 things but we'll be ready or not when he comes. We are ready to move some toys into the playhouse and the last major job looks like it will be the covered deck area and getting our yard back to normal. WOW! Can't wait! Work is really busy for Jamie because the city will be lifting it's development moratorium which has been in place over a decade mid-August, just in time for Jamie to take leave! The busy time will probably really be in spring so there will still be plenty of work when I go back. Ryan is busy too, but taking some extra time off this week to get stuff done, play with Madeline and enjoy the summer. Take care everyone!
